TheBak.com serves Bakersfield, and other California based cities, for the purpose of promoting the local urban scene, assisting those who are looking for new music and business connections, and bringing more exposure to the Central California area as a whole.

{ TheBak.com’s Motto }

Our motto means that it is our goal to connect with local (and non-local) talent through personal encounters, online submissions, and also through word of mouth.
We do as much as we can to support that talent by sharing their content through various ways on our site, including music and video posts, interviews, event announcements, and other types of featured posts.
We do this in hopes that we can build new relationships between the people we feature on our site, creating new alliances between musicians, artists, entrepreneurs, and businesses  in Central California like never before possible.

Now being in existence over a year, we believe TheBak.com has been a positive influence on the city of Bakersfield, and Central California in general, offering an alternative outlet for local talent to share their work with the world. We even caught the attention of cities outside of Central Califonia, which was very exciting since that was not our initial goal. The love that people from all over Califronia have given us for creating TheBak.com is humbling and it is greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone who offered their support and/or gave their time to be featured on the site whether it be sitting down for an exclusive interview, sending links to your videos, and submitting your tracks for our audio playlist. We hope we continue to receive your support!
